Bringing an expert mind and a gentle touch, Kelsey Joelle is a leading Chicago Esthetician and Facialist with over ten years of experience creating and enhancing the glow of her enviable clientele. With her passion for simple yet effective treatments and commitment to clinically-backed science, she has earned the trust and loyalty of the beauty-obsessed, the brides, the models, and all of the glow-enthusiasts in between.
Kelsey’s journey into the beauty industry started young but is entrenched generationally. Her great-grandmother worked the cosmetics counter at the local pharmacy for several decades while her mother sold Mary Kay out of their basement. Encouraged by the women in her family and drawn to the creativity of cosmetics, her early curiosity eventually paved the way for what would become a life-defining devotion to beauty care-taking and enhancing each person’s natural inner glow.
After years of refining her practice in plastic surgery, medspas, and with Soho House, Kelsey fulfilled her childhood dream in 2020 and embarked on the road of entrepreneurship as she established her independent Esthetician practice. Focused on personalized facials meant to cater to each person’s unique skincare goals and using the best ingredients, methods, and her keen eye for beautifying, Kelsey has established herself as the industry go-to for revealing a natural inner glow - an artform nurtured through study, passion, and her deep commitment to honoring her life-long purpose.
Today, her purpose comes to life yet again in the evolution of her private practice into THATG STUDIO - a spa space located in the historic Flat Iron Building of Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood. An airy loft infused with notes of comfort and warmness, her practice is grounded in her same ethos of simple, personalized treatments that combine her expertise with the best of natural and clinical methods. A full-circle experience for the little girl who used to apply homemade face masks to her friends, Kelsey is now beautifying the faces of Chicago in a space devoted to community care-taking and the simple but true-to-you ways to bring out your glow.
